FOSS Den (In Collaboration with OSSCamp)
Free and open source (FOSS) software, is software which is liberally licensed to grant the right of users to study, change, and improve its design through the availability of its source code. This initiative primarily focuses on promoting FOSS culture among all the students who will be participating in APOGEE. A wide range of things related to FOSS will be exhibited along with discussions and motivational talks by geeks in OSScamp.

About OSScamp :
OSScamp is a thriving, young and vibrant community of open source enthusiasts in India. The community revolves around 'Unconference' that we love to call camps. At a Camp, they will be celebrating technology, talk on our fav programming languages and OS, discuss stuff, and what not!
Agenda:
1. Unconference – An informal discussion among FOSS enthusiasts and newcomers to FOSS on different topics related to FOSS. Topics will not be decided beforehand, but would be taken up by the participants depending on their knowledge, inquisitiveness and enthusiasm.
2. Software installation fest – providing help to people who are interested in installing open source operating systems and other FOSS softwares.
3. Open source gaming parlour – few fun games based on FOSS to encourage visitors that gaming is equally fun on open source platforms.
4. Exhibits of few open source projects done by students, and open source projects going on in different parts of the world.
5. Video presentations on comparisons between proprietary softwares and open source softwares, highlighting the ease of use and flexibilities available in the latter.
No prerequisites…Anyone can participate. It will surely be learning with fun!! At a Camp, we love to cross-talk, huddle together, raise some noise, celebrate technology, argue over how Linux is the coolest OS ever made, fight on our fav programming languages, discuss stuff, and what not!
